Maxfli PowerMax Irons
Review of Maxfli PowerMax Irons.

Maxfli PowerMax IronsMaxfli, who is owned by Taylor Made, has produced an excellent product in the PowerMax irons.  The set comes with irons #4-PW, AW.  A matching PowerMax hybrid #3 iron is available separately.  Also available separately are PowerMax fairway woods and the PowerMax driver.

These irons have over-sized heads that are very forgiving.  Failing to strike the ball cleanly still results in significant distance and impressive accuracy.  Hitting the ball cleanly produces a picture-perfect ball flight.  These irons did not produce noticeable gains in distance however ball striking consistency is greatly improved.  The irons are also weighted in such a way that heads are noticeably heavier than the rest of the club.  During the swing, the heads can be felt pulling the club and arms through the ball.

The only aspect of these irons that could be considered a downside is the grips.  They seem thinner than most, which leaves the club feeling somewhat awkward in your hands.  While the grips also seem less durable than others, they have yet to show any signs of wear after continued, heavy use.

These irons are very reasonably priced at under $200.
